Hello everyone. My name is Tui. I live in the Nong Phok District in the Northeast part of Thailand. I have one daughter, Eloise, who just had a birthday! She is now ten years old. For this blog on my friend’s website, I am going to show you pictures about our lives.
This is the outside of my house. I have lived here for twelve years. It has a small kitchen, bathroom, and living area.
These are the kitchen and the living area. We also sleep in the living area.
This is my brother-in-law’s farm. The rice is planted in June, July or August. It takes eight people three days to a week to plant all the rice.
I have two dogs. The brown one is named Kamgeao. She is friendly with some people, but not with others. The white one is Silom. She bit a neighbor boy. Sometimes the neighbor boys yell at the dogs or throw rocks.
There are carrots, spring onions, lettuce and cabbage. Also string beans. I plant the vegetables in November. I sell them at the local market. I also have lemon trees and big papaya fruit!
During the rainy season, my mother goes hunting for mushrooms. There are many kinds. We use them in stir fry, with barbeque, and in shrimp soup.
For the New Year, my daughter wanted a handbag. I did not think it was a good idea. She would use the handbag for a few days then forget about it.
I gave her a watch. It is more useful and in school she is learning how to tell time.
My sister and brother-in-law have a rice farm behind their house. The cow gives them baby cows and they sell them.
