For nearly eight months, I have been working in Bangkok. My apartment is on Sukhumvit Soi 71 near the Phra Khanong Skytrain Station. The rent is 2,200 baht a month ($70).
The front of the building is a barber shop.My Bed.No bathroom! It is downstairs.
Last year, I got a MacBook Air for Valentine’s Day. I spend a lot of time learning to use it. I have spreadsheets on it for the cost of the Mini Mart goods and the money from the customers.
I go to the market almost every day. It is on the way to my daughter’s school. I buy many kinds of vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage. For meat, pork and chicken. Also grapes and melon. Sometimes I go there to sell vegetables from my garden.
My daughter turned eleven this month. We had a special barbecue dinner with my sister’s family. But we could not eat the cake because we forgot the candles! We ate some of it two days later.
The Thai letters on the cake mean “Happy Birthday”.
